Retains: Origin remains with the named origin unless this paper also assigns it.
Paid is not: Payment for the hire is not origin. I got paid does not answer what I gave away.
Exclusive: Unspecified until the instrument names exclusivity. Do not assume it.
Term: Unspecified until named. Do not invent a term.
Territory: Unspecified until named.
Media: The commissioned deliverable. Not sequel, remake, or catalog unless named.
Survives: Delivery obligations may survive. Origin does not move unless assigned.
